Oasis In the Hustle and Bustle of the Old Medina.

I absolutely loved this place. As a solo traveler and 4200 miles from home Ireally appreciate a hotel that is welcoming, clean, safe,comfortable and in an authentic location. Dar Tanger Medina has all of these. It is nestled in the heart of the winding roads of the old Tangiers Medina. A little hard to find but a pleasant oasis. The staff was accommodating and awesome. Great people. The hotel is not your cookie cutter hotel but if you want something authentic this is it. The room was large with a big bathroom. Decorated in Moroccan style. Very clean with a nice view. It was a bit noisy due to the shops and residential neighborhood it was located in. Very reasonably priced. The hotel also had a roof top terrace with a great view. Complimentary breakfast is served every morning up there. I spent the first part of my trip (4 nights) and after traveling ti Chefchaouen came back for another 2 nights before flying home. Again, don’t expect the luxuries of a high end hotel but if you want a safe, clean, authentic,reasonably priced hotel in a unique location with friendly staff in Morocco this is the place.

Just like home

I really enjoyed my stay as this was a Moroccan home and not a hotel .
You need google maps to find the place but it’s great being near the beach, medina and a historic church .
Friendly hosts that treated you as family and not a guest .
Each morning breakfast was served on a rooftop terrace where you could watch a crazy seagull who would have loved to steal your tasty breakfast
Room was massive and a view across the sea to Europe

Quirky nice property where you can watch seagulls being jealous of you eating your breakfast on the roof terrace each morning.
Room had stunning view from North Africa to Europe and was excellent value .’
In the Médina so you need Google maps to find the property
Nothing was too much trouble and great places to eat and lots to see and do nearby

In the heart of the medina this little hidden gem of a hotel. Authentic Morocco with genuinely caring staff. Thankyou x

This beautiful hotel is an authentic Moroccan experience.
Right in the heart of the medina and just a short stroll to the harbour.
The hotel has some amazing artwork on the doors and in the rooms. The hotel itself is a work of art.
The views from the roof terrace where breakfast is served, are incredible.
The atmosphere up there is so relaxing with soft music playing and breakfast served in a comfortable and cosy setting.
My husband and I would take a drink and sit up there watching the sunset.
I cannot praise the staff enough for their kindness and curtesy to my husband and I
They certainly go the extra mile to ensure that you get everything you need and nothing is too much trouble.
A warm welcome away from home awaits you in this hidden gem.
Safe and secure and the locals helped me to find my way to the hotel when I got lost.
The kindness that Moroccan people are known for is here in the medina and in this wonderful hotel.
We will be back!

Parenthesis to tangier

Strategic location to visit tangier. Simple but clean room. There is a magnificent roof terrace from which you can contemplate the city. The only downside are the stairs but they are very quickly forgotten thanks to the kindness of our guests. Farida and her family really take care of their guests. Breakfast is hearty. I also liked the women’s steam room next door.
