Great place to stay in Molde / Vestnes for not a lot of money

We liked this hotel very much. At check-in we were well helped by the receptionist and we were able to find everything very well. We had a slightly more luxurious apartment at the back side, with separate parking and a quiet road next to the hotel, with a big supermarket nearby. The room itself was large, had enough space, only we missed a decent dining table, since it did have a kitchen. The kitchen had a faulty gas stove, which I also neatly reported to the front desk, who would fix it.
The room had comfortable beds, and a spacious bathroom. The chairs in the living area were also very comfortable. We also took advantage of the breakfast, and did have to walk a bit because of the reason, but this was less than a 50 second walk to the main entrance. The breakfast was excellent, and the restaurant was comfortable.
All in all, a good experience and I can't wait to go back sometime.

Disappointing local hotel

We stayed at vestnes fjordhotell for one night, it being our local hotel we were excited to say the least. We made a last minute booking because of work at our home and the person who took the booking was great especially as we had a small dog. We were given 2 good sized rooms on the ground floor which meant parking was right at the room entrance but we had room 14 and on opening the door the smell was horrid, there is a locked door and I suspect dirty cleaning equipment lies unused in there because the room was not clean! There was a thick layer of dust and alot of pee on the the bathroom floor! it was so bad I cleaned it. I had planned to have a shower but decided best wait to go home as the taps and and other things in shower look like they had never been cleaned. In the kitchen area there is a loose celing tile over a kitchen cabinet and rather suspiciously there is old newspaper sittingn on top of the cabinet to catch whatever is falling down......
Some might say that having a (very small) dog then we shouldnt expect a good quality room but when you pay the same as everyone else then yes you should!
As for breakfast, the selection was poor and the warm food was cold. Service? What is that a thing I should expect? One word sums it up, blunt!
My son had the adjoining room it was a little cleaner with a kettle and other utensils which was weird.
I wouldnt normally give a bad review, I usually just forget it and say whatever I just wont go back but in the last few years I have been in many hotels across europe and I am thoroughly disapointed that my local hotel is the one to get the bad one.
Incase your wondering, the 2 stars is because of the view, location and being able to park at the door

OK hotel, very good breakfast

The room was ok. I had a single room with view to the fjord. The bathroom was not clean, very poor washing. The breakfast was very good. Egg, bacon, sausages and potatoes. And possible to make your own waffels.

Poor experience...

Its location is quite random, can be ok as a one night option.... The room is low profile: size, forniture... apparently clean, but do not look under the beds... Very poor breakfast (few options), and poor attention from staff.

In the middle of nowhere

Hotel is in need of update, room was clean and of a fair size we where at the back of hotel you can see the sea but many buildings in the way of a nice view. Eating out is a problem hardly any restraunt around unless you travel to mould had to eat in the hotel as the pizza bar next door run buy kurds with plastic tables is not what I wanted and was not that clean, would recommend you to stay in mould
