A memorable getaway

The place is so serene and will give you a different (wider) view of Taal lake. The view was amazing. My first time to see Taal lake/volcano on a different angle. The place is elegant but a bit forlorn. the facilities are great if maintained properly. Staff are courteous and find ways to attend to guests needs. Kudos for the room upgrade,(room with a view) it really made our stay memorable. The food is delicious with generous serving, magnificent view, reasonably priced. We had the whole Place almost on our own I think we’re the only guest at the time. The pool and jacuzzi needs more upkeep, too much chlorine but its very nice if more maintained and has magnificent view.

Worst rotting place with an expensive price!

The pictures they show were probably taken many years ago when they just built the place. However, casa alegria is now rotting like a food just left somewhere. They have the worst maintenance.
The toilet & bath was full of black molds which was indicative that it was rarely cleaned. The whole place was rusty and the paints were already chipping-off. The bed sheets and pillow cases obviously have not been changed for weeks or months. Even the shower near the swimming pool was damaged. The smell inside the rooms were indicative that the place is old, badly maintained & rotting. There's also none much choices on their food menu. The breakfast they served were some of the worst there is.
The only consolation we got was that the view of the taal lake was spectacular.
All thumbs-down for casa alegria. We'll spread the news to everyone we encounter & will never ever eat there again.
**There are way better alternatives, there are other better accommodations with far better service, amenities & food with much reasonable price.**
If you don't want to waste money & have a far better experience, please go somewhere else. You'll just regret going to casa alegria - it's not worth your time, effort & money!

No. Just, NO!

I was name-called by one of their staff. The window is super dusty and has smudges, the sliding mirror (cabinet) is not working (hangers used are dupe adidas plastic hangers..wawawaw), and shower curtain and shower head are full of molds. The corner of the bath looks like someone died there. When we opened the mini ref, the smell was horrid and there was a pool of water inside. No provided hand and face towels, only 2 shower towels. The liquid soap dispenser is not working. Guest wifi is not working so we had to connect to the dining wifi, which is super slow because everyone’s connected to that wifi – even staff and dining guests. To top it all off, the food is very limited so we had to go out at night and look for a restaurant. Breakfast is the worst- it’s limited to two variants only. Parking is very difficult as it is located at the side of the road.. steep inclined road.

Ageing but pet-friendly

Saw this B&B in IG #petfriendlyph and #petfriendlytagaytay and we booked the family suite since we have 2 medium sized dogs. This is our first overnight vacation with them so we wanted to make sure that we book the right place.
They are very pet-friendly indeed! The staff was great and very accommodating. The family suite was just the right size for my family. The pool was small but the kids enjoyed none the less. The breakfast was typical for Tagaytay.
Two things though. The room needs to be refreshed as it is very weathered already specially the bathroom. The parking isn’t great as well as it can only accommodate 2 cars inside and I had to park outside on a slope.
All in all we enjoyed the place and our fur kids did too!

The Best View of Taal on the worst place

I booked the King Suite which is the biggest room with the best view. The weekend was raining and so was our ceiling beside the bed and the ceiling on top of the toilet bowl where you sit. The sofa and the bed sheets was so itchy my wife had rashes on her leg and arms. The parking is also difficult as it is beside a steep curve on the mountain. Do not expect anything from this place as it is not a hotel. You also have a few food choices on the menu. Basically all you have is the view. the money i paid for is not worth it. Even the staff knows that the owner needs to fix this place but hasn't done anything at all. Despite the very low ratings and complaints. I was tantalized by the pictures and immediately booked without looking at the reviews. the high ratings on this place only considered the view and definitely has not been around other hotels to not notice that the room is so dirty and not well maintained. For the King Suite they dont even have shampoo and soap available. i do not recommend this place at all.
