Beautiful hotel, beautiful experience

Beautiful place, incredible views, unbeatable cleanliness. The exquisite breakfast (the best apple pie thanks to Raquel's magical hands). But even better than all the above is the treatment of the people at the hotel, from the family to each and every one of the people who work there, with dedication and great cordiality. We went with my husband and my baby and the experience is unbeatable. We hope to return soon, without a doubt THE BEST place in Mar del Plata.

A tiny bit Fawlty Towers

Why it’s called the Amsterdam beats me, there’s nothing vaguely Dutch about it. The location is very good, basic cleanliness and staff attention fantastic, down to tripping over the floor polisher on the way to breakfast. It does fall down there, however. It’s quite expensive and the breakfast is very disappointing. Nothing hot offered, it’s the basic, boring pastries and toast with some ham and cheese slices.
I suspect the elevator is their Manuel. It’s ludicrously tiny and moves at a pace that would make a parliament blush. Also, if someone recommends a nearby restaurant called Manolos, or something, do not go. You have been warned.

Nice and cosy place in Mar Del Plata

For Mar Del Plata this cosy hotel on the sea front is nice. It’s not super luxurious, however clean, tidy and well looked after. If you can get a sea view room - do it as it makes all the difference. The staff are wonderful, good little breakfast and perfect location. I’ll definitely come back!

Very good value for the money.

Stayed in this hotel with wife and 3 kids during a long weekend at the end of March. Their location is very good, with great views to the Ocean (they even have a modest telescope in the lobby). They will also park your car free of charge at night, and there is plenty of parking space in the side street also.
The hotel is family run, which gives it a very cozy feeling. The building has seen some years go by, and the rooms are modest in size. Beds have standard mattresses, and you will feel your back ache after 2 nights.
Breakfast is comprehensive, staff is very helpful and internet works well enough. Walls and doors are thin, and guest are not always well educated, so expect noise at night.

Nothing to do with Holland !

Located in the classier part of Mar Del Plata with great restaurants and bars a 15 minute stroll away. Try Antares on Cordoba for its' micro brewery and the Oceanside at Mendoza y La Costa for a sublime steak. Plenty of food and coffee at breakfast time in a lovely room which overlooks the seafront. Room was a little small but we had a balcony which was great for sunsets. We opted for a standard room with ceiling fan and should really have upgraded to air con. Free internet access. Very helpful English speaking owner and reception staff. Short taxi ride from the bus station. 10 minute walk to some of the best beach clubs and the public beaches at Playa Grande and Playa Chica.
