Heavenly class, nicest reception ever.

Our birthday weekend in Tongeren couldn't start better ... packed and slumped we arrived at the hotel where we were very friendly and informed about the sights and activities in the beautiful city. Very welcoming and passionate about his city, Corné guided us through the possibilities by means of handy plans. We were only just inside and he had already seen that we were wearing hiking boots which made him even more highlight the hiking opportunities in the nearby nature reserve "De Kevie", and whether it was worth it. While we were enjoying our luggage was taken to room 8. I called it the "tower room," at the very top and the only room on that floor. Room 8: very warm and stylishly decorated, everything you can need was there, the bed slept wonderfully, the seats were cozy ... the bathroom spacious with next to the shower room possibility for storing clothes, shoes, ... The hotel is in a quiet area, we had the roof windows open and there was very little to hear from outside. Breakfast : perfect order, cozy space, everything very neat and choice too over. In short, a must for all those who, in addition to discovering this beautiful city, also want to stay in the beautiful decor of this hotel. Thanks for your hospitality Corné, sure to see you again.

Just perfect!

Authentic hotel with absolute charm! Moreover, it is perfectly located, in the heart of Tongeren.
Spacious room, clean and well appointed.
Breakfast is worth a visit, very well provided and the eggs are made minute.
Lovely staff and little care.
I highly recommend!!

Great atmosphere

Clean and comfy hotel in city centre.The staff were all very friendly and helpful and no request for assistance was a problem for them. The hotel is well situated, being close to shopping, transport, and the tourist sites. We would definitely stay there again.
We had a wonderful stay in charming Hotel Caelus.

Wonderful room on the third floor, that was clean and surprisingly spacious with and very comfortable bed. The owner was friendly and accommodating, and the location was convenient for dining, sight seeing and shopping. There are stairs to manage, but for us the spiral staircase added to the charm and gave a sense of privacy.

Welcoming gem of a hotel!

A gem of a find made for a delightful visit! This hotel is tucked into a small side street across from the church in the center of Tongeren. We came in August to visit the Sunday flea market and were charmed by the hotel and the proprietor Cornelius who goes by “Corne”. Our room was at the top of a very narrow and very traditional staircase. Our room consisted of three spaces one for the bedroom, one for a living area with a pullout sofa and TV and then a very large bath. Everything was spotless.
The hotel and our room was very clean, the bed so comfortable, and the best part was the location. You were within a 1 to 2 minute walk in any direction of shops, restaurants, and the antique market should you choose to go there. One of the best aspects was meeting the proprietor and enjoying his wonderful breakfast every day. The breakfasts were fresh, hot, and he would cook eggs to order. We certainly enjoyed our stay there and would heartily recommend this lovely property that is oozing charm and character just like its proprietor. One note is that there is not a lift to ride in, but there is an elevator for luggage so you don’t have to carry it upstairs.
